There are countless hybrid varieties but we offer the most popular and iconic varieties including the Japonica and Sasanqua Camellias. In addition to normal Azaleas, we also stock a selection of uncommon deciduous Azaleas which have beautiful bright orange and yellow blooms.
Growing Advice:
In Southern Tasmania, Camellias, Azaleas & Rhodos should generally be planted in areas with some shade is provided but can be planted anywhere that is well drained and acidic. Once established, they have some drought tolerance but should generally be given access to moderate amounts of water, particularly in early years of growth.
Availability:
We typically stock popular Camellias, Azaleas & Rhodos year round, with other varying hybrids and varieties stocked throughout the year.
We also stock a good range of Mollis Azaleas {deciduous}, which have incredible bright flowers in Spring in Oranges, reds, yellows. and pinks. The foliage changes in Autumn to rich tones of orange and red.
